Employability Skills Counselor

About the position

We are seeking an Employability Skills Counselor to empower participants with essential competencies for success in the modern workforce and improve their digital skills.

Primary Duties:

  • Deliver practical training on software tools such as Microsoft Office, email usage, web browsing, and other necessary computer proficiencies.

  • Instruct on career readiness abilities including crafting resumes, job hunting methods, interview preparation, and professional behavior.

  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators and team members to maintain a unified and nurturing educational setting.

  • Effectively communicate with learners by offering clear directions and support.

  • Adhere to all company policies and guidelines.

  • Fulfill administrative duties related to educational responsibilities accurately and on time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or teaching qualification in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a similar discipline.

  • Background in instructing or facilitating training focused on employability skills and digital literacy.

  • Extensive understanding of Microsoft Office products alongside other pertinent software solutions.

  • Superior communication capabilities paired with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Competence in engaging diverse groups of people while adjusting instructional strategies according to individual needs.

  • Patience, compassion, along with a genuine desire to assist others in reaching their potential.

  • Exemplary organizational abilities coupled with effective time management practices.

  • Capacity for working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a group environment.

    • Prior experience collaborating with non-profit entities or community service initiatives.

    • Awareness of current employment market dynamics along with employer requirements.

    • Skillfulness in using online teaching platforms and resources.
